President Saleh receives Palestinian President advisor

SANA’A, July 02 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received, on Monday, advisor to the Palestinian President Nabil Amr who conveyed a message to Saleh from Mahmoud Abbas concerning current events in Palestine in the light of the latest developments between Fatah and Hamas movements. President confirmed the importance of dialogue between the Palestinian leaderships in the two movements based on adherence to Mecca deal, clarifying that both factions have been trapped in a big trick called power. He indicated that the Palestinian groups have to work for liberation, freedom,independence and establishing the Palestinian state on the national lands. Saleh pointed out that the situation in Palestine is unlike others in the region and that the existence of international forces under occupation does not serve interests of the Palestinian people. He renewed Yemen’s supportive attitude to the Palestinian people and theirnational unity. MS/AM Saba
