President Saleh receives letter from Syrian counterpart

SANA’A, Jan. 27 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh received here on Sunday a letter from his Syrian counterpart Bashar al-Assad related to current situations in the Arab world, especially latest developments in Palestine, Iraq and Lebanon. The letter also dealt with the brotherly relations and joint cooperation between Yemen and Syria to serve the common interests of both countries. During his meeting with the Syrian Information Minister Muhsin Bilal, who convoyed the letter, Saleh indicated to the strong brotherly relations between both countries and the Yemeni keenness on advancing these ties in all domains. President Saleh, handed over to Bilal a reply letter to the Syrian president, wishing him good health and more progress to the Syrian people. TD/AF Saba
