President Saleh receives letter from Russian leader

SANA’A, Feb. 03 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh received here on Sunday a letter from his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin related to aspects of enhancing mutual cooperation between the two countries. The letter was handed over to the Minister of Foreign Affairs Abu Baker al-Qirbi during his meeting with the Russian ambassador to Sana’a Vladimir Trofimov. The meeting also discussed current arrangements for the foreign minister’s upcoming visit to Moscow, during which the two sides would talk about reinforcing cooperation horizons between the foreign ministries of both countries. The two officials dealt with possibilities of developing the dialogue between Yemen and Russia to coordinate the stances of both countries on the international and regional issues. TD/AF Saba
