President Saleh receives letter from Algerian counterpart

SANA’A, Jan. 02 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Wednesday deputy chairman of the Algerian National Peoples Assembly Alawi Mohammed who handed over a letter to the President from the Algerian counterpart Abdelaziz Bouteflika concerning joint cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing them. In the letter, Bouteflika also offered condolences to Saleh on the death of the parliament speaker Sheikh Abdullah Bin Hussein al-Ahmar. Furthermore, the meeting discussed mutual cooperation between Yemen and Algeria in the agricultural field as well as exchanging expertise and visits between the two countries’ officials and bodies in this field. Saleh stressed importance of gaining advantages from the Algerian experiences in the agricultural field, especially in the field of agricultural Algerian-made equipments and irrigation grids.
