President Saleh receives Dutch official

SANA’A,(Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh received here on Sunday chairman of the middle east and north Africa department in Dutch embassy Michael Don Hond. During the meeting,the aspects of the mutual co-operation between Yemen and Netherlands were discussed. The meeting pointed out to the results of the Sana’a conference on democracy, human rights and role of the international criminal court. The Dutch official praised achievements of the conference through active participation whether government delegations or organizations of the civil society. He also confirmed support of the European Union to promote democracy in Yemen, expressing willingness of the Dutch government to extend range of dialogue with Yemen. President Saleh underlined the importance of coordination between Yemen and European Union to follow results of regional Sana’a conference on democracy. AH/NM
