President Saleh receives CIA Director

WASHINGTON, May 01(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received Tuesday in his residence at Blair House in Washington the US Director of the Central Intelligence Agency Gen. Michael V. Hayden. They discussed bilateral relations and cooperation aspects between Yemen and USA, especially in security and terror fighting, as well as number of issues of common concern. They have also discussed the latest situations in Palestine, Iraq, Somalia and the African Horn.The US official praised Yemen’s efforts in the field of combating terror and its support to the international efforts. He pointed out that Yemen is an active partner to USA, confirming his government keen interest for enhancing bilateral relations with Yemen in different fields. MS/TN SABA
