President Saleh receives call from Saudi crown prince, condoles Kuwait Emir

SANA’A, (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Tuesday a phone call from his Saudi Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz. In the conversation, they discussed aspects of joint cooperation relations between the two countries and means of strengthening and developing them to serve the common interests of the two peoples. They also talked on the regional, Arab and international developments. They also exchanged congratulations on the advent of Eid al-Fitr, asking God to bring this happy occasion for the two brotherly countries and the Arab and Islamic nation further progress and prosperity. On the other hand, President Ali Abdullah Saleh sent on Tuesday a condolence to Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Sabah in the death of Kuwaiti former Defense Minister Sheikh Salem Sabah al-Salem. Kuwait has announced that al-Salem, 69, died last Monday after a long illness. YA/NS
