President Saleh phones UAE counterpart

SANA’A, Feb. 26 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh held Friday a phone conversation with President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan during which he extended his condolences on the demise of his brother sheikh Mubarak Al Nahyan, the former interior minister. They also talked about the bilateral relations and joint cooperation relations between the two sister countries as well as means of developing and reinforcing them. President Saleh expressed satisfaction over the accelerating growth of the bilateral ties in fields of politics, development, culture and others in a way serving aspirations of the two countries. He also hailed the supportive stances of the UAE for Yemen’s security, stability, unity and its development process, considering these stances as national and honoring positions. Saleh affirmed his keenness to continue extending and developing cooperation between the two countries in various areas. For his part, the UAE President expressed thanks for President Saleh, affirming concern to reinforce and deepen the Yemeni and UAE ties in different fields for the common good of both countries’ peoples. They also discussed may other issues and the latest developments of interest to the two countries and the Arab world. AM/AM Saba
