President Saleh phones Sudanese counterpart over UN resolution 1593

SANA’A, April 6 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh made a phone call on Wednesday with his Sudanese counterpart Umar al-Bashir over the UN resolution No. 1593 over the western Sudanese region of Darfur. In the conversation, the two leaders discussed required means for dealing with the resolution wisely to avoid harming Sudan’s interests and its security and stability. They also discussed the joint solidarity between the two countries within the current regional and international developments. The UN Security Council Resolution 1593 stipulated for the trial before the International Criminal Court of suspects believed to be involved in crimes committed in province of Darfur. AH/KMSABA
