President Saleh phones his UAE counterpart

SANA’A, Nov 13 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh called on Monday his counterpart, the leader of United Arab Emirates (UAE) Sheikh Khalifa binZayid al-Nuhayan. During the phoning call, the two leaders discussed the brotherly relations and mutual cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing them. They also talked over the current arrangements for the Consultative Group Meeting for Yemen’s Development Partners set to be held in London aiming to support the development march in Yemen. The call also dealt with the role could be taken by the GCC countries to make the conference a success and have recommendations that may help Yemen achieve the developmental goals. Al- Nuhayyan confirmed the support of his country to Yemen and standing beside it, pointing that UAE would finance the two projects of Hassan dam in Abyan and Sordod dam in Hodeidah that would be set soon. President Saleh evaluated the UAE’s supporting for the Yemeni development march. TD/NS SABA
