President Saleh performs Eid prayer in al-Janad Mosque

TAIZ, Oct.23 (Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh performed on Monday prayer of Eid al-Fitr in al-Janad Mosque, Taiz governorate. President delivered a speech in which he congratulated prayers, expressing happiness to perform Eid prayer in the historic mosque which was established by Prophet’s follower, Moadh bin Jabal. “I talked in my electoral program’s speech here about the historic importance of this mosque and its significances on Yemen’s unity. He pointed out to the role of the mosque in Yemeni unity, saying that “from this place, I announced establishment of a college for Religious Sciences in al-Janad mosque. God welling, the collage will be constructed as soon as possible, he said. He concluded his speech by praising citizens of Taiz and Ibb governorates who have came to perform Eid prayer in al-Janad mosque. MS/AH
