President Saleh pays inspection visit to Haraz district

ANA’A, May 17 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh paid Thursday an inspection visit to Haraz district of Sana’a governorate where he was acquainted with needs of the locals of development services, and exchanged with them congratulations on the occasion of the 17th Anniversary of Yemen Reunification. He also was acquainted with historical landmarks in the area, expressing admiration for the architectural and the natural outlook, directing the Ministry of Tourism to complete tourist infrastructure in the district. President inspected projects being carried out in Haraz, on top of which are roads of Manakha, Hijrah, Mazaniah and Lahab, calling on concerned authorities to complete work on these roads to facilitate transportation and tourism. He directed concerned authorities to complete Manakha-Hijra-Hujailah road, 40 km, which links Haraz with Bajil city and Hodeidah governorate. He also gave orders to establish a number of dams in mountainous areas to secure people’s need of water. MS/AM Saba
