President Saleh participates in Arab Quartet summit in Cairo

CAIRO, Nov. 11 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh took part here on Sunday in a quartet summit including President Hosni Mubarak, Sudanese President Omer al-Bashir and Iraqi President Jalal Talibani. The summit, that was held on the sidelines of participation in the opening of the 11th Pan-Arab Games, discussed the Arab Peace Initiative to coordinate attitudes towards Peace Conference to be held in Annapolis, Maryland, USA later in this month. The leaders talked about developments of the situations in the region, particularly in Palestine, Iraq, Lebanon, Somalia and in Darfur region of Sudan as well as a number of issues concern Arab nation.
