President Saleh orders al-Alimi to follow up security affaires

SANA’A, May 21 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh charged Wednesday the Deputy Premier for Defense and Security affairs Rashad al-Alimi with supervising and evaluating the performance of both ministries of interior and defense. “We assigned the deputy primer for defense and security affairs to be the head of the security committee, to be located in the National Security headquarters, to follow up the security affairs in the country”, President Saleh said during a joint meeting he chaired with the cabinet and governors in Sana’a. Saleh uncovered that a number of amendments to the local authority law would be made in the coming period aiming to guarantee a direct-electing to the governors and to realize the local ruling desired goals.
