President Saleh meets visiting Mahathir

SANA’A, May 6, (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Thursday the former Malaysian Prime Minister Mahathir Mohamad who is currently on a visit to the country. They discussed the improvement of the bilateral Yemeni-Malay ties in various spheres and addressed issues of concern to the Islamic world. Regarding cooperation, they addressed the expansion of Malaysian investments in field of gas and power. President Saleh lauded the career of the Malaysian official in building a developed nation like Malaysia. President Saleh said that Malaysian investments in Yemen would meet a special welcome and the privileges of the Investment Act. The talks were attended by Prime Minister Abdul-Qader Ba-Jammal, President Saleh’s Political Advisor Abdul-Kareem Al-Eryani and senior other government officials. AA/AA SABA
