President Saleh meets Russian Defense official

MOSCOW, April 6 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Tuesday the Russian deputy minister of defense Michael Dimtreeve and other Russian military officials. He focused talks with them on means of promoting the Russo-Yemen cooperation in field of military. The Russian deputy minister hailed the bilateral ties saying Yemen is a friend to Russia and that Russia is committed to the promotion of its ties with Yemen. The two leaders agreed that exchange visits between the Yemeni and the Russian officials at the highest level reflects the mutual desire to boost bilateral ties. AA/NS SABA
