President Saleh meets Palestinian ambassador

ADEN, (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Saturday with the Palestinian outgoing ambassador Khaled Sheikh on ending his diplomatic mission in Yemen. During the meeting, Sheikh briefed President Saleh on the current developments in the Palestinian territories. Sheikh expressed appreciation for facilities the Yemeni government has offered to him during his mission, praising President Saleh’s efforts to support the Palestinian issues. President Saleh praised the ambassador’s efforts to develop mutual cooperation relations between Yemen and Palestine, confirming Yemen’s support to the Palestinians’ legal struggle to set up their independent state and its capital al-Quds. President Saleh recalled the Palestinian factions to unite efforts to get such goals achieved and to end disagreement between the Fatah and Hamas movements. YA/NS Saba
