President Saleh meets Malaysian FM

SANA’A,(Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Wednesday with the visiting Malaysian Foreign Minister Syed Ahmed bin Syed Jaafar Albar. Albar conveyed greetings of Malaysian Prime Minister Abdullah Badawi and his hope of health and happiness for president Saleh and further progress for Yemeni people. In the meeting, they discussed the Yemeni-Malaysian brotherly relations and means of boosting them. They discussed the topics related to Yemeni-Malaysian Ministerial Joint Committee meeting that started in Sana’a on Wednesday. President Saleh affirmed Yemen’s interest in enhancing the Yemeni-Malaysian bilateral relations in various fields and welcomed Malaysian investments in oil, gas, minerals, energy and free zone. They furthers discussed the current developments in Iraq, Palestine and South Asia. President Saleh asked Albar to convey his greetings to Malaysian Prime Minister and his hope of further progress for Malaysian people. JW/KM SABA
