President Saleh meets Jordanian Jaha delegation

SANA’A, Dec 5(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Sunday the delegation of Jordanian ‘jaha’. The jaha delegation, including former Jordanian prime minister Abdul-Raoufal-Roabida, sheik Shaker bin Saif and former head of Jordanian ParliamentEng. Saad Hael Soror, is sent by King Abdullah Al Thani of Jordan to offer apologies to Sheikh Abdullah bin Hussein al-Ahmar and his family whose daughter was killed by her Jordanian husband last year.President Saleh welcomed the guests and praised the warm relationship between Yemen and Jordan. “We welcome you in your country and among your brothers,” president Saleh said. Then al-Roabida spoke on behalf of the Jordanian people and jaha. “This group of Jordanian senior officials, Sheikhs and members of parliament were sent by King Abdullah to seek good and hope to settle such a dispute.We came to the country of originality and hospitality. This jaha came with hope to put an end for the dispute between al al-Ahmar tribe in Yemen and al al-Shala’an tribe in Jordan due to the killing of sheikh al-Ahmar’s daughter, the incident which effected on the two brotherly peoples inYemen and Jordan. We kindly ask you to accept our apology and initiative of reconciliation and to avoid this sorrowful incident. You are a good example in tolerance and leading in reconciliation initiatives. We condole your Excellency and again we apologize and call Allah to provide sheikh al-Ahmar and his family with health, happiness and success. We wish for Yemeni people under the leadership of President Ali Abdullah Saleh more development and prosperity. Then president Saleh said: “we listened to the apology of adviser of H.M King of Jordan Abdullah bin al-Hussein which included an honest confession of what happened for sheikh al-Ahmar’s daughter, the incident which shames the murderer al-Shala’an himself and his bad conduct, not tribes of Jordan. ” Your coming to Yemen to apologize relieved the suffering of sheikh al-Ahmarand all his lovers and friends. We again welcome you in your country andamong your brothers and say that our daughter is a present we offer for King Abdullah and noble tribes of Jordan” said president Saleh.
