President Saleh meets Italian coast guard commander

ADEN,(Saba )- President Ali Abdullah Saleh met with the visitingItalian Coast Guard general commander Luchiano Dasati.

During the meeting, Saleh discussed with the Italian official the bilateralrelations and fields of cooperation between Yemen and Italy
speciallyin security, coast guard and fighting terrorism.

Saleh was informed about talks between the Italian official with his Yemenicounterparts that tackled means of cooperation between Yemen and Italyin field of the coast guard and the Italian support for Yemen in thisfield.

Saleh highly appreciated the level of cooperation between Yemen and Italyand said that the Yemeni-Italian relations are deeply rooted, underlingthe interest of the two sides to enhance and develop such ties.
