President Saleh meets German parliament’s member

SANA’A, April 26 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh met here on Monday a member of German Federal Parliament (Bundestag), who is currently visiting Yemen. In the meeting, aspects of joint cooperation between the two countries were discussed, especially with regard to strengthening the bilateral relations in the development and economic areas so as to be positively reflected in the strong ties between Yemen and Germany. The member of German parliament praised the democratic experience in Yemen, affirming the Bundestag’s keenness to develop the relations and cooperation and coordination with the Yemeni parliament to enhance the distinct democratic process. He confirmed his country’s supportive position to Yemen security, stability and unity. President Saleh expressed his appreciation for the level of relationship between Yemen and Germany, voicing his thanks to the German friendly government and people on the level of support offered by Germany to Yemen, weather at the bilateral level or within the European Union or Yemen Friends Group.
