President Saleh meets elected writers

SANA’A June 6 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Monday the new leadership of the Union of Writers elected in the 9th conference of Yemeni writers. Headed by Dr Abdullah al-Bar who informed Saleh on results of the conference and plans of the new union. In the meeting, Saleh congratulated the writers on the confidence they were granted by the voters and hailed the presence of women in the new leadership. . He confirmed the political leadership’s care in sponsoring the Yemeni women and enabling them to participate in the political and public life. NA/AA SABA
