President Saleh meets Comoros leader

SANA’A, August 10 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh held talks Tuesday with the President of Comoros Assoumani Azali who is currently on a visit to the country. The two leaders discussed boosting the bilateral cooperation and addressed regional issues of common concern, mainly the latest developments in Palestine, Iraq and Sudan. The two leaders confirmed their stance in favor of unity of Sudan in accordance with the relevant decisions of the Arab League foreign ministers. Azali expressed his admiration of the rapid multilevel developments in Yemen and the momentum gained by Yemen’s democracy. He expressed to President Saleh his appreciation of Yemen’s substantial support to education in Comoros. Azali has also extended a formal invitation to President Saleh to visit Comoros at a time to be fixed later by President Saleh. AA/NS SABA
