President Saleh meets American ambassador

SANA’A, July 20 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Tuesday with the outgoing American ambassador Edmond J. Hull on the occasion of endinghis duties. Hull handed over to President Saleh a letter from U.S. Secretary of State Colin Powell dealing with the Yemeni-American mutual cooperation relations and the current developments in the region. President Saleh praised Hull’s efforts during his work in Yemen to improveand enhance the mutual relations between the two countries. For his side, the U.S. diplomat expressed appreciation for facilities extended to him by the Yemeni authorities to help him do his mission in Yemen easily. JW/KMSABA
