President Saleh inspects projects in Taiz

TAIZ, May 13(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh paid an inspection visit on Saturday to the Jabal Habashi district of Taiz where he was
welcomedby many top officials and social figures of the district.

In the visit, Saleh got acquaintance with the citizens’ situations and their needs. He inspected many projects being implemented,
topped bythe Yafrous-al-Turbah and al-Zagrah-al-Dhabab roads.

Afterward, Saleh visited Yafrous Mosque that was built in 700 after Hijraby Amir bin Abdul-Wahab. The mosque contains the grave of the
Sufi Sheikh Ahmad bin Alwan, who was born in 537 after Hijra.

The Mosque is considered one of the historical landmarks in the district.

During the visit, Saleh paid also an inspection visit to Nagad Qusim district and got acquainted with the citizens’ situations and
listened to theirneeds.

Afterward, Saleh paid an inspection visit to al-Qahira historical Castle in Taiz town where he was briefed on the process of rebuilding
the Castleto be a tourist landmark.
The project will costs YR one billion.
