President Saleh inspects barracks, hails their role in security

MUKALLA, Feb 10 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh inspected on Thursday the barracks of air defense number 27 and 190 in Mukalla and hailed the role of those barracks in deterring secessionism attempt in 1994 and other “sabotage acts”. President Saleh inspected the training process, which is being carried out in accordance with the annual exercises plan approved by the ministry of defense. Delivering a speech, Saleh said: “I can’t forget the honorable role of division 27 which fulfilled its duty in confronting all acts of sabotage in the central regions and in Otomah, al-Sha’ir, al-Sadda and al-Nadirah.” “The hero commander maj. Mohammed Ahmed Ismaeel played a significant role in those victories, he was really brave, humble and a man who had the common touch thanks to his modesty,” maintained. President Saleh also praised Dr. Abdul-Karim al-Eryani, the Secretary General of the People’s Congress, for his record in engineering the border treaties with neighbors.
