President Saleh informed Yemen is reinstated into MCC

SANA’A, Feb 16 ( Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh received a phone call from the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Millennium Challenge Corporation John J. Danilovich on Thursday. Danilovich informed Saleh that Yemen’s eligibility for the MCC’s Threshold Program has been reinstated. CEO of MCC said the decision was taken in a meeting held in Washington on Feb 14 on the level of board of Directors and in presence of US Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice. for On his part President Saleh expressed his thanks and appreciation the board of Directors MCC and US Secretary of State and all friends in US who bothered to take the decision. Saleh expressed that the decision dispels previous misconcepts about Yemen’s eligibility, nurtured by foes of Yemen’s welfare. NN/AA SABA
