President Saleh heads NDC meeting
SANA’A, April 1 (Saba)- The National Defense Council (NDC) held its meeting on Saturday headed by President Ali Abdullah Saleh.
In the meeting, president Saleh discussed with officials of the concerned bodies subjects associated with national security and plans of security forces deployment as well as efforts of modernizing military forces.
The meeting also discussed the ongoing security arrangements for the coming
elections.
The participants listened to two reports from the National Security Organization and Political Security Organization on the activities which harm interests of the nation. The meeting approved requited measures to deal with such activities to server higher national interests.
The meeting also listened to a report raised by the Ministry of Interior on security achieved in Saada and the current preparations for carrying out the fourth phase of the security deployment to cover all regions across
the country.
The council praised the security achievements and efforts of the security forces to combat all forms of terror, crimes and smuggling.
The council approved offering all requirements for the fourth phase of the security deployment.
The council also listened to a report from the Ministry of Defense on efforts exerted to modernize military forces and their capabilities, approving the security arrangements for the coming elections.
