President Saleh flies to Cairo to attend Arafat’s funeral

SANA’A, Nov 11 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh flew on Thursday evening to the Egyptian Capital Cairo where he will head Yemen’s delegation attending the funeral of the late Palestinian leader Yassir Arafat. President Saleh is accompanied by Chairman of the Shura Council Abdul-Aziz Abdul-Ghani, Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qerbi and senior other government officials. The body of Arafat was flown to Cairo late Thursday on board a French military Airbus from the Villacoublay military base, southwest of Paris. His funeral will take place in Cairo on Friday before his body is flown to Ramallah for burial. AA/AA SABA
