President Saleh exchanges medals with South Korean leader

SEOUL, April 26 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh, currently on official visit to South Korea, exchanged medals with his South Korean counterpart Roh Moo-hyun in Seoul on Tuesday. Moo-hyun gave President Saleh the Great Medal, South Korea’s highest award for world leaders in recognition of President Saleh’s role in developing the relationships between Yemen and South Korea. Queen Elizabeth of Britain, Jacque Chirac of France and senior world figures are laureates of the medal as well. In return, Saleh presented the South Korean leader with the Unity Medal, a token of strong ties. The South Korean President held a formal dinner in honor of President Saleh and his accompanying delegation. Senior military leaders and businesspersons attended the conference. AA/NS SABA
