President Saleh discusses with South Korea president mutual cooperation
SEOUL, April 26(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh held talks on Tuesday with the president of South Korea Roh Moo-hyun on the bilateral relations between the two countries. In the meeting, the two leaders discussed the development of mutual cooperation in fields of trade, economic, investment, professional training, telecommunications, education, health and electricity. Korea has presented $ 30 million as a financial support for telecommunications and information technology sphere. They also discussed the contributions of South Korean companies in economic and investment projects in Yemen in general and in the Aden free zone in particular. The two leaders also exchanged viewpoints in terms of the latest regional and international developments of common concern as well as the situations in Iraq and Palestine, the peace process in Middle East, fighting terrorism and the reform of United Nations and Security Council. President Saleh confirmed that his visit would come out with good results for the two nations. He also talked about the Yemeni unification experience which faced a number of difficulties in 1994, expressing his hope that the two Koreans unification would be achieved peacefully and in the correct way.
