President Saleh congratulates Sudanese president over Pace accord

SANA’A, Jan 10(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh sent on Monday a cable of congratulations to his Sudanese counterpart Omar al-Bashir on signinga peace accord with the rebel Sudan People’s Liberation Movement. The accord was inked on Sunday during a lavish ceremony attended by international dignitaries. President Saleh said that the accord put end for years of conflict in the south of Sudan, wishing new age of stability and peace in Sudan . The accord is not a great achievement only for Sudanese people but for all Arab countries because stability of Sudan serves interests of all, president Saleh said. AH/NS SABA
