President Saleh congratulates new Spanish leader

SANA’A, March 15 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Monday congratulated Spain’s prime minister-elect Jose Luis Rodriguez Zapaterom, leader of Spanish Socialist Party. In a cable of congratulations, President Saleh expressed hope for increasing mutual cooperation between Yemen and Spain to serve interests of two friendly peoples, wishing him all the success in his task as new leader for Spanish people. Zapatero became Spain’s prime minister-elect following parliamentary elections on Sunday. AH/NS SABA
