President Saleh congratulates Abu-Mazen

SANA’A, Jan 11(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh sent on Tuesday a cable of congratulations to Mahmoud Abbas Abu-Mazen on the occasion of electing him. In the cable, president Saleh expressed gladness for electing Abu-Mazen as president of the Palestinian Liberation Organization to lead the Palestinians in the coming period. Palestinian people has proved high capacity to practice the democratic right and to gain the admiration of the world, president Saleh said. The Yemeni people and government is ready to work along with the Palestinian people in their struggle to restore their rights and build up their independent state, said president Saleh. President Saleh called all the Palestinian parties to work together for enhancing the national solidarity and serve Palestinian interests. JW/NS SABA
