President Saleh condoles Kuwait Emir

SANA'A – President Ali Abdullah Saleh sent on Tuesday
a condolence to Kuwaiti Emir Sheikh Sabah al-Ahmad al-Jabir al-Sabah in the death of Kuwaiti former Defense Minister Sheikh Salem Sabah al-Salem.
Kuwait has announced that al-Salem, 69, died last Monday after along illness.


Saudi Crown calls President Saleh

Tuesday a phone call from his Saudi Crown Prince Sultan bin Abdul-Aziz.
In the conversation, they discussed aspects of joint cooperation relations between the two countries and means of strengthening and developing them to serve the common interests of the two peoples.

They also talked on the regional, Arab and international developments.

They also exchanged congratulations on the advent of Eid al-Fitr, asking God to bring this happy occasion for the two brotherly countries and the Arab and Islamic nation further progress and prosperity.


President orders to release 230 prisoners

SANA'A – On the occasion of Eid al-Fitr, President Ali Abdullah Saleh has gave orders to set 230 prisoners free who spent three quarters of their terms in prison and are unable to pay debts or financial fines.

Chairman of the Supreme Judicial Council Judge Isam al-Samawi said today that president asked the government to pay YR162 million on behalf the prisoners and gear up procedures of setting them free to enable them to spend Eid al-Fitr with their relatives.

Meanwhile, Saleh paid a visit to al-Qaeda city and Thi-Sufal districts of Ibb governorate where he inspected situation of the citizens and work process in several road projects.
