President Saleh chairs major security meeting

SANA’A, Feb 16 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Monday chaired a meeting with top military and security officials in Sana’a. The meeting, attended by Vice President Abdu-Rabu Mansour Hadii, discussed the implementation of nationwide security deployment, the agenda of military training and improvement of the defence capability of the armed forces. President Saleh highlighted the imperative of upgrading the capabilities of the armed forces and supply of the armed forces with the up-to-date military equipment. He spoke highly of efforts of the security authorities in clamping down on crimes and controlling the outlaws. Then, the President visited the Military Supply Department where he was given an account on the role of the department in serving the armed forces. Saleh hailed the department staff and urged them to double their efforts and further improve their function by taking advantage from the modern technical equipment. AA/NM/KM SABA
