President Saleh calls for truce

SANA’A, Sept. 23 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh on Friday called for a truce and comprehensive ceasefire between government and opposition political, military and security parties. Following his return to home from Saudi Arabia, the President called for the truce and ceasefire in order to allow for an agreement and accord among all political parties. Saleh asserted that the solution to the crisis cannot be found in guns and artillery, but through dialogue, understanding, preventing bloodshed, keeping lives and maintaining security, stability and the capabilities and gains of the homeland.
