President Saleh begins French visit Tuesday

SANA’A, (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh is leaving on Tuesday for Paris in a several-day state visit for talks on bilateral cooperation and recent regional developments. In remarks to the Ath-Thawra newspaper, published on Tuesday, Foreign Minister Abu-Bakr al-Qerbi said President Ali Abdullah Saleh would hold a summit meeting with his French counterpart Jacques Chirac Wednesday. The Elysee Palace talks would touch on developments in Iraq and Palestine and international efforts to restore stability in both areas, al-Qerbi said. The two leaders would also discuss the Yemeni plan to achieve peace and stability in Iraq and resolve the Arab-Israeli conflict, he added. KM
