President Saleh backs home

SANA’A, – President Ali Abdullah Saleh returned home on Monday after his three-day official visit to the United Kingdom. He was received by Vice-President Abdu Rabo Mansour Hadi and other senior officials. The visit successfully proved to be a new progress in the Yemeni-British relations and partnership, and its results were prosperous, Saleh stated as he arrived. He pointed out that two countries emphasized on the importance of promoting bilateral relations to serve the joint interests of the two peoples. Saleh spoke highly of the UK’s increase of aid to development and democracy in Yemen. We look forward to an active role to be played by the UK and the European Union in the peace processes especially the implementation of the Roadmap to Peace plan and the international resolutions pertaining to Arab-Israeli conflict.
