President Saleh back home from Doha SANA’A, June 16 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh has come back home from Doha where he attended the G77 and China Summit yesterday. President Saleh expressed his pleasure over the resolutions and recommendations of the summit. He reiterated his call for the rich nations to “help the impoverished ones overcome the challenges of poverty and unemployment”. The two challenges, he continues, combined with the international injustice and double-standard policies create a fertile environment for terrorism, extremism and violence. In his participation, Saleh was accompanied by senior state officials including his political advisor Abdul-Karim al-Eryani and Foreign Minister Abu-Bakr al-Qerbi. Earlier in the day, President Saleh met the Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, the chairman of the summit, and discussed with him the bilateral relations and the outcomes of the summit. President Saleh hailed Qatar’s call for establishing a fund of support for the developing countries. In a meeting with the secretary general of the GCC, Abdul-Rahman al-Atiya, they discussed the integration of Yemen into the Standardization and Patent Board of the GCC.AA/AA SABA
