President Saleh attends graduation of Hadramout University students

MUKALLA, Feb 8, (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended on Tuesday the graduation of the 6th batch of Hadhramout University students. In a keynote speech, President Saleh said that every day “we see new achievements that can’t be denied but by the pessimists only”, and recalled various projects implemented in province. The President expressed welcome of all businesspersons who contribute to the development process, and stressed on the importance of ensuring that investors get all privileges possible. “Investments are the yardstick of security and stability,” Saleh averred. Achievements in the southeastern provinces are too many to compare with those of the past,” Saleh said. “Today’s generation are the pillars for the future, a future they build on the ruins of secessionist, totalitarian and imamate regimes.”. The President stated that the 15th anniversary of the National Day will be hosted by Hadhrmout, “so the concerned agencies must prepare for that and reflect the real picture of Hadhrmout as a cradle of civilizations and cultures.” “It is great to have eight faculties in Hadhrmout, new faculties of medicine, and engineering will be inaugurated soon,” Saleh said. So many faculties can save Yemeni students the costs of studying abroad, the President said. Regarding the recent tsunami disaster, President Saleh urged more fund raising for the tsunami victims. He concluded his speech by expressing hopes of successful peace summit in Sharm al-Sheikh and successful Arab summit in Algeria.
