President Saleh attends consultative meeting for armed forces commanders

SANA’A Mar 25 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended here on Saturday the consultative meeting of the leaders of the armed forces that was held under slogan ” For Continuing efforts of Construction & Modernizing the Armed Forces”.

In the meeting, president Saleh discussed with them many topics related to efforts of construction and modernizing the armed forces.

He also listened to reports and working papers on performance of intelligence services bodies and the incorporeal guidance authority.

In the meeting, they discussed also the administrative, human, financial aspects and situations of the military units.

President Saleh delivered a speech in which he expressed his happiness to meet with commanders of the armed forces to discuss with them issues associated with works of the national corporation for armed forces, pointing out there would be a meeting next week with the security commanders.

He affirmed importance of modernizing the armed forces, saying that the forces were witnessing progress through preparing and good regulation within the framework of the new developments and graduation new qualified officers from different military academies and institutes.
