President Saleh attends ceremony of Korean industrial and trade

SANA’A, April 27 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh attended the ceremony of the Korean Industrial and Trade Chambers Union on Wednesday. Many Yemeni and Korean businessmen attended the ceremony. During the ceremony, deputy chairman of the union welcomed president Saleh. He said the visit of president Saleh to Korea would open new horizons of mutual cooperation and support cooperation relations between the two countries, especially in field of oil and gas. President Saleh welcomed in his speech in the ceremony the contributions of South Korean companies in economic and investment projects in Yemen, especially in electricity sector. The Yemeni-Korean discussions focused on investment in reborn energy from which reached 1000 Megawatt. “We invite you to contribute to energy reborn sector that reached 1000 Megawatt. We have also a project to build railways of $ 100 million,” Saleh added. Saleh suggested that a delegation from South Korean businessmen visits Yemen and study the requisites of investment in Yemen in coordination with the ministry of planning and international cooperation. President Saleh also called the South Korean investors to invest in spheres of agriculture, science and technology. He said Yemen want to get benefit from the Korean experiences in exploring silver, iron and minerals. TD/NS SABA
