President Saleh arrives in Moscow
MOSCOW, April 5, (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived on Mondayafternoon to Moscow where he will meet the Russian President Vladimir Putin. On Tuesday, President Saleh and Putin are scheduled to meet and discussthe promotion of the bilateral relations in political, economic, militaryand cultural fields. They are scheduled to discuss the hottest political spots, the regionaland the international mainly the developments in Iraq and the Arab-Israeliconflict. President Saleh was welcomed to Moscow by the Russian Deputy Foreign Minister Aleksander Vladimir, the Head of the Middle East Circle at the ForeignMinistry and Arab ambassadors and diplomats in Moscow. “I am pleased to be here in Russian to meet H.E Vladimir Putin and discusswith him everything about the relationship of friendship between Yemenand Russia,” President Saleh told reporters upon arrival. He made clear that the political, economic, military and cultural ties besides the regional issues of Iraq and the Arab-Israeli conflict wouldbe discussed. “Russia has a crucial role to play in giving peace a boost,” he said.”The Russo-Yemen ties are deeply rooted and developed.” As he recalled Yemen’s investment-friendly law, President Saleh said Russian businesspersons are welcome to invest in Yemen. “There is a wide rangeof opportunities to invest in various fields.” Earlier on Monday, President Saleh toured ST.
