President Saleh arrives in Doha
DOHA, Qatar, Nov. 30 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh arrived on Thursday evening in Doha, Qatar in response to an invitation from Emir of Qatar Sheikh Hamad bin Khalifa al-Thani. It is expected that the two leaders would hold talks over the bilateral relations between the two countries and the latest developments in the region. President Saleh will attend the opening ceremony of Asia Games, which will be started on Friday in Doha. This visit came in response to an invitation from the Emir of Qatar, president Saleh said. We will discuss with Emir of Qatar means of enhancing ties and mutual cooperation between our two nations as well as discuss current situations in Palestine, Iraq and Somalia, he said. He highlighted significant relations between Yemen and Qatar, wishing extension of cooperation horizons to serve interests of both peoples. He appreciated recent position of Qatar in London meeting to support development process in Yemen. “We welcome Qatari investors in Yemen and they will receive all forms of support.” President is accompanied by chairman of Shura Council Abdul-Aziz Abdul Ghani, Foreign Minister Abu Bakr al-Qirbi, Sport and Youth Minister Abdul-Rhamen al-Akoa and Minister of State Abdullah al-Bashiri.
