President Saleh allocates $201mln for projects in Hajjah
HAJJAH, March 12 (Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh directed on Wednesday the government to allocate $201million for road projects in Hajjah province linking all districts of the province together. “The allocated sum is available and measures required for carrying out the projects will be completed during 2008-2009,” said President Saleh, describing road projects as carotids of life. President Saleh added “although some roads have been hampered, we achieved very good success in implementing road networks in many governorates, among of which Hadramout and Shabwa”. The President announced that a republican decree will be issued for establishing a university in Hajjah, saying that he will issue directions for establishing more vocational institutes. During his visit to the province, President Saleh talked on the phenomena of price hikes saying “although these increases are an international phenomenon, we direct the government to take strict measures to not let the chance before avarice merchants” to play with prices.
