President renews Yemen’s support for Palestinian people

SANA’A, Jan 15(Saba)- President Ali Abdullah Saleh renewed on Saturday Yemen’s position that supports resistance by the Palestinian people against Israeli occupation to regain their rights and setting their independent state as well as the rights of Palestinian refugees to return home. During his meeting with the head of the political department in Palestinian Liberation Organization (PLO) Farouq Kaddoumi, President Saleh said thatthe fair peace in the region would be achieved only through the implementation of international resolutions and the road map. The Palestinian official briefed President Saleh on the conditions in Palestinian territories and the presidential election held last week, appreciating Yemeni support in this regard. They also discussed regional and international developments such as arrangements of holding coming Arab summit in Algeria. Persident Saleh congratulated Kaddoumi on the success of Palestinian elections. AH/NS SABA
