President receives visiting Somali delegation

SANA’A, May 29 (Saba) – President Ali Abdullah Saleh received on Thursday a large delegation led by the leader of the Alliance for Re-liberation of Somalia [ARS], Shaykh Sharif Ahmad. Ahmad acquainted president Saleh with the latest developments in Somalia in the light of current dialogue between different Somali warring factions for realizing national reconciliation in Somalia. Ahmad highlighted Yemen’s efforts under the leadership of Saleh for realizing Somali reconciliation and backing security and stability of the people in addition to the country role in taking care of thousands of Somali refugees. For his part, President Saleh renewed Yemen supportive stance with Somalia and its support to Somali dialogue for realizing security and stability, noting that Somali security and stability concerns Yemen and all countries in the region.
