President receives US economists

ADEN, Dec. 06(Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh met on Wednesday in Aden,with the American economists delegation headed by former South Carolina governor David Beasley. In the meeting, president Saleh discussed with the US experts the common progressing cooperation bonds between Yemen and the USA, in addition to horizons of boost this cooperation in all fields, particularly in trade and investment. The US delegation briefed president Saleh on outcomes of their discussions with Yemeni officials and businessmen over strengthening economic and commercial collaboration between both countries. They also briefed him on their participation in “Yemen and Global Economy”and .. Strategies for Growth ” conferences, which were organizedby the commercial chambers in Sana’a and Aden in cooperation with theCenter for Global Strategies in South Carolina. The delegation said that Yemen has tremendous opportunities of investment.Furthermore, they showed readiness to provide Yemen with experience andvocational consultations to attract investments and improve tourism activities in the country. For his part, president Saleh affirmed that Yemen strategy for developmentpays a special interest in the economic development to create better investmentenvironment, adding that Yemen is looking forward to holding real economicpartnership with the US. “We are welcoming US investments and are ready to provide all the facilities,care and warranties required to ease this process to achieve the reciprocatedinterests, Saleh concluded.
