President receives US diplomat

ADEN, Dec. 13(Saba)-President Ali Abdullah Saleh discussed on Wednesday with the US ambassador to Yemen Thomas Krajeski Yemeni-American bilateral relations and means of strengthening cooperation fields between the two countries. The talks also discussed issues of common concerns, particularly the current development in Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine and Somalia. Krajeski lauded the success of the September’s presidential and local elections in Yemen. “The recent elections acquired approbation in all its steps that depicted the real democratic approach of Yemen,” he said. Moreover, Krajeski congratulated Saleh on the grand success of London Donors Conference, held in November, affirming the USA’s keenness to offerpolitical and economic support for democracy and development process in Yemen.
